Half Peruvian and half American making my third trip to SA. I've so far been to Peru and Colombia and had a great time on those trips. Latin America just feels like a second home to me and I want to try to see and experience as much of it as I can. I have some extended time in between jobs right now so I figured I'd take at least 4 months off or until I run out of money I guess. My grandma is turning 82 and she lives in Lima so definitely need to visit her there before she gets too old. We've always been really close since I was young and I've also got some cousins in Lima as well. The places I've enjoyed the most are the chill beach towns and up in the mountains. Not really much of a city person. I'm a Water Engineer by profession, so if I can figure out any ways to volunteer and use my skillset to help in any way I can I would really enjoy that. Besides Peru, I especially want to make my way to Ecuador and Bolivia. Both places look beautiful and cheap to travel. Another goal of mine is to get fluent in Spanish once again. I'm a bit rusty. I also would like to make some local friends on my trip. I'm thinking volunteering will be an easy way to get to know people in the community and get a little off the tourist track.
